Media Player Classic外观很像Windows Media Player 6.4，但是它拥有更多附加功能。内建可实时缩放的DVD播放器，支持AVI字幕、QuickTime、RealVideo（需要QuickTime或 Real Player），内建MPEG2/SVCD/DVD解码。

Changes in Media Player Classic 6.4.8.7 :
- Matroska splitter updated to handle AVC, and support for simpleblock and header stripping. In other words: Matroska v2 should work without crashing.
- Major improvement for *.ttxt support, everything except scrolling and clickable urls work now.
- Shaders reworked a bit.
- Added shortcuts to set start/stop times in subresync.
- MPEG-2 decoder had a few fixes.
